Texas Taco Tours

Join us as we canvas the state of Texas: Austin, Houston, San Antonio y más in order to uncover and devour all things tacos. It all begins with the iconic breakfast taco and leads to some tasty contenders like the authentic al pastor taco and the classic duel of the Mexican versus Tex-Mex tacos; all with the unforgettable style and flavor of the Lonestar State. Beyond the chow you’ll also get some time behind-the-scenes with the trailers, trucks and “Taqueros” that make it all possible. Get ready for a storytelling culinary experience where you will witness the stories, traditions and cultures behind the tacos and see why Texans are proud taco eaters.

Taco tours include tacos from 3-4 taco joints, a free copy of The Tacos of Texas, an overview on the history and culture of tacos in Texas, local taco trends and visiting the top go to taco trucks, trailers and restaurants. This is a one day experience and can include customized hours depending on inquiries and group size.

Austin

Austin loves breakfast tacos and is home of limitless taco and food trailers and is one of the “it” cities for the growing culinary and food scenes in the U.S. and all things buzzworthy.  

Houston 

Houston is a multicultural mecca in Texas and the most immigrant friendly city in the Lone Star State. And they have the tacos to prove it. From the big taco truck craze and its diverse taco scene, chapulines, taco bike ride-alongs and breakfast tacos. 

Cooking Demos

Enjoy a tasty taco demonstration by author and cocinero, Mando Rayo. Mando will feature 2 styles of tacos and provide a presentation on the history and culture of tacos in Texas.
